🏆Featured AI Leader: Thais Fernandes🏆

We’re excited to present Thais Fernandes as a Featured AI Leader.

Let’s get to know how Thais is using AI.

1. How is AI impacting your work?

AI is significantly facilitating my daily work by providing valuable insights and introducing new tools for ideation and design thinking for example. For instance, AI-powered tools enhance our brainstorming sessions and help generate innovative ideas more efficiently.

2. How do you use AI in your daily life?

I use AI to enhance my learning, especially in areas like Python and automation, since I am not a developer and I don't work with code in my daily basis. This helps me automate repetitive daily tasks, find solutions that aren't freely available on the internet, and streamline my work processes. By leveraging AI, I can avoid having to solve the same problem twice, making my workflow more efficient and productive.

3. What is your favorite AI tool right now?

My favorite AI tool right now is ChatGPT, which I use daily to assist with coding and automation tasks. Additionally, I frequently visit the website Powerful AI Tools to discover new tools and get more ideas for enhancing my workflow.

4. What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with AI?

My advice for someone just getting started with AI is to begin by addressing a current problem they have. Often, we spend too much time studying without practical application. AI allows us to apply what we're learning in our daily tasks right away and advance our knowledge through use. This approach is based on the principles of andragogy, which focus on how adults learn best by doing and applying their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

5. Who should we follow in the AI space?

In Brazil definitely Monica Magalhães.

6. How can women in AI support each other?

Women can support each other in AI by creating mentorship programs, sharing resources and knowledge, and building inclusive communities. These actions foster collaboration, encourage learning, and provide valuable networking opportunities, helping to break down barriers and promote diversity in the field. I have a community in Brazil that is called Fridas, is a community for women supporting each other and we realized a mentorship program in the past two years connecting woman that were available to teach with woman that wanted to learn. I guess this is an example on how we can support each other.
