We’re excited to present Beena Liju as a Featured AI Leader.
Let’s get to know how Beena is using AI.
1. How is AI impacting your work?
Its a magic wand! It automates repetitive tasks like scheduling and report generation, freeing me to focus on strategic planning and tackling complex problems. It's like having an extra set of hands that can crunch data and identify risks faster than ever before. But it's all about working smarter, not harder :)
2. How do you use AI in your daily life?
AI is everywhere these days. From recommending my next workflow optimization tool to anticipating project roadblocks, it's like having a constant (but thankfully non-judgmental) advisor by my side. Plus, it helps me stay on top of industry trends – like the latest AI advancements that might benefit the next project.
3. What is your favorite AI tool right now?
That's a tough one.. it depends on the project! But right now, I'm geeking out over GitGuardian, UXPin Merge, Aiven and Tenable
4. What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with AI?
Think of it as an exciting adventure, not a technical maze! The world of AI can be a bit overwhelming, but don't be intimidated :) Embrace the learning curve, AI is constantly evolving, and staying curious is key to staying ahead of the curve.
5. Who should we follow in the AI space?
The AI space is vast and one should consider specific interests to pick the right influencers. 1. Fei-Fei Li - AI Researcher & Professor, Stanford University; Co-Director, Stanford Human-Centered AI Institute; Scientific Partner, Radical Ventures; Author ("The Worlds I See")
2. Daphne Koller - Founder and CEO, insitro (we're hiring!). Co-founder, Coursera.
3. Timnit Gebru - Founder & Executive Director at The Distributed AI Research Institute (DAIR)
4. Rana el Kaliouby - Co-Founder and General Partner, Blue Tulip Ventures, AI Investor, Entrepreneur, Author and Thought leader
5. Shivon Zilis - Director of Operations and Special Projects, Neuralink I also follow researchers like Yann LeCun (Meta), Andrew Ng (Landing AI) and Steve Nouri (Founder, Generative AI)
6. How can women in AI support each other? Attending conferences and workshops is a great way to connect with other women in the field. Social media can also be a powerful tool to share experiences and support each other's growth. Check out groups like Women in Machine Learning (WiML) or The Ada Lovelace Institute. Remember, we're all stronger together.
